The Red Door School are seeking to appoint a bus escort commencing immediately. The escort will accompany pupils on specialised bus transport from their homes to and from school.

The current route operates between

Dublin City Centre (Grand Canal Dock)– Monkstown

Drop off/collection for the escort can also be facilitated in Walkinstown

We are seeking a panel of escorts to provide long and short term relief cover on these routes. Routes are subject to change based on pupil addresses.
The bus escort must be available in the mornings from approximately 8am to 9:30am and from 3pm to approximately 4:30pm during school term. Escorts must have their own transport to and from the drop off point.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.
Salary is processed fortnightly and only during term time. Escorts are not paid during school holidays or midterm breaks.
