An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Please include Panel Form 1 if applicable. Appointment will be subject to Garda vetting and occupational health screening. Please mark envelope with ‘SNA’ application. No email applications. This appointment requires somebody who demonstrates flexibility, is a team player, shows good communication skills, has a calm disposition, is confident in dealing with behaviours that challenge, experience working from behaviour support plans, has supervision skills and shows initiative.
Essential requirements:
-Minimum qualifications as per DES Circular 0051/2019
-other relevant qualifications in the area of special needs education
The following requirements are desirable:
-experience working with children on the ASD spectrum.
-experience working with children with EBD
-experience managing intimate care
-up to date training in Manual Handling and First Aid
-experience in using SEN IT equipment and programs with children
