The Cork Branch of Down syndrome Ireland are now recruiting the following teaching staff for their adult educational programmes, commencing Sept 2019.
1 Teacher- DSI Ability Programme - Work Skills
1- Teacher DSI Ability Programme - literacy & Technology
You will be a fully qualified teacher and a member of the Teaching Council of Ireland.
Previous experience of delivering similar programmes would be beneficial. Experience of teaching people with Intellectual Disabilities would be preferable. The nature of this programme makes it ideally suited to Primary School Teachers.
Excellent IT skills are a requirement of this role. Enthusiasm and empathy are key attributes of this role
This programme is part of Down Syndrome Ireland's adult education Ability programme. They will provide training and course material.
Job location : The Field of Dreams, Clash Road, Curraheen,Co. Cork.
This is a part-time , contract position for the duration of the next two academic years, commencing mid September 2019.
