Resulting from Job-Share Applications, the Board of Management of School of the Holy Spirit seeks applications from suitably qualified SNAs for the above positions, which are both part-time . Salary and conditions are as per the Department of Education and Skills.

School of the Holy Spirit is a special vertical school for students with Autism and/or Emotional Behavioural Difficulties. Enrolment is 84 students aged between 4 and 18 years old. There are 15 teachers and 31 SNAs on staff. 7 classes are at primary level and 7 classes are at secondary level.

Applicants must have significant experience (at least 2 years) of working in a special school environment as part of a special class team with students who have a primary diagnosis of autism.
Experience in essential competencies should include assisting with intimate care, positive behaviour support, and enabling pupils to access therapies. Experience in assisting pupils access to Multi-Sensory Integration Programmes would be a distinct advantage.

Qualifications in the following courses are desirable due to the specialised nature of the work in this school:
Fetac Level 5 Childcare or equivalent.
A panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within the school year 2019/2020. Suitable applicants may also be invited to join a substitute panel of SNAs.
