An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This position is a fixed term position until the end of the current school year and will include a morning pick up in taxi from our school at 07.30, travel to pupil's home and arrive back at our school at 09.00 and evening drop off after school (13.40) and return to our school at 15.10 P.M.
(3 hours approx. daily)
The escort must be available mornings and afternoons. Hours of work Monday to Friday in line with the school calendar.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The escort will be responsible for the safety of the pupil in the taxi and will be required to assist them getting in and out and securing appropriate seatbelts. Maintaining a calm, supportive, and safe environment during the journey.
Experience working with children with autism is desirable. Candidates will be expected to work with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pickups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic delays etc.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to child safeguarding is required.
Appointment and commencement date is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.
Garda vetting must be completed through the school prior to commencement.

• Payment is at the standard hourly rate set by the Department of Education.
