Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is an Infant Day post (0.83 of a post).
Applicants must satisfy all Department of Education appointment criteria.
It would be desirable for candidates to have experience of working with pupils with Diabetes. Epilepsy, ASD, ADHD, EBD, etc. Assistance with personal hygiene and medical needs are desirable. Candidates must be able to work on their own initiative and display a strong work ethic. In addition, the successful applicant should have a flexible approach and demonstrate willingness to work as part of a team. Candidates must be willing to undertake CPD courses which relate to the needs of the children and the school.
Candidates must be willing to uphold the ethos of the school. They must show a willingness to be involved in school activities, always respecting the dignity and confidentiality of the pupils.
This appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, current vetting requirements, OHS requirements and completion of TUSLA online Child Safeguarding training.
Applicants who are deemed to be a member of the supplementary panel must furnish a certified copy of completed Panel Form 1 (PF1) with their application.
This position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
