At jumpAgrade - Ireland's national not-for-profit tutoring programme - we believe potential is everywhere, but opportunity is not.
We provide free, high-quality online tuition and mentoring to Leaving Certificate students from underserved communities. We are looking for qualified post-primary teachers who want to use their skills to level the education playing field and make a genuine difference to young people.
THE ROLE
We are expanding our teaching panel and seeking qualified post-primary teachers to deliver at least one hour of live online group tuition each week, from October to May, supporting students as they prepare for their Leaving Certificate exams.
You will deliver engaging, interactive sessions that combine strong subject teaching with energy, humour and a student-centred approach, helping students build both knowledge and confidence.
We are particularly interested in teachers who are confident using technology and have strong digital teaching skills, including the ability to create an engaging online classroom.
SUBJECTS
We are currently recruiting teachers for Higher Level Leaving Certificate subjects:
Biology
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
English
Irish
French
Hours and subjects will depend on teacher availability, student demand and programme funding.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will need to:
* Be registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
* Have at least one year's teaching experience.
* Have strong knowledge of the Leaving Certificate curriculum.
* Be confident teaching Leaving Certificate students online.
* Be comfortable managing a live online group.
* Have strong digital skills and be able to use technology effectively to enhance learning.
* Bring energy, warmth, humour and enthusiasm to your teaching.
* Build positive relationships and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
* Share our belief that a young person's background should not determine their opportunities.
