MPETSS invites applications from enthusiastic, innovative and student-centred teachers to join our dedicated Special Education Team.

This vacancy arises as a result of a staff move and provides an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing and ambitious special educational needs provision plan within our school.

MPETSS currently has three established Special Classes and is hoping to open two additional Autism Classes next year. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in the continued development of our Special Class provision and help shape a culture of excellence, inclusion and best practice for our students.

We are seeking a teacher who has a genuine interest in autism education and who wishes to develop their professional expertise and career in this area. As our provision expands, the school is working closely with the NCSE to support staff training and professional development. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is committed to ongoing learning and who is eager to contribute to the development of high-quality educational experiences for all of our.

The Successful Candidate Will:
Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
Have an interest in, or experience of, working with autistic students and students with additional educational needs.
Be willing to engage in ongoing professional learning and NCSE-supported training opportunities.
Contribute positively to the continued growth and development of the school's Special Class provision.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, external agencies and the wider school community.
Be committed to developing and implementing best practice in autism education.
Desirable:
Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Experience of special education, SEN, resource teaching or inclusive educational practices.
Knowledge of evidence-based approaches to supporting autistic students.
