An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

St Laurence O'Tooles NS invites applications for the position of Deputy Principal. This is a teaching position, with 2 admin release days a week as we are a DEIS Plus school with an enrolment over 150 pupils.
Applicants must be fully registered under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council and have 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
Duties are subject to review at least every 2 years and will be finalised in conjunction with the principal after appointment. It is a core function of the Deputy Principal’s role to act or deputise as the Principal in the Principal’s absence.
