An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management invites applications for the position of School Transport Escort for a specific route servicing students attending ST Laurence's NS.
The bus escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons five days per week to accompany and support pupils with Autism in a bus to and from the school.
The position is for 10 - 15 hours weekly, to be confirmed.
The hourly rate of pay is in line with the Department of Education guidelines for school bus escorts.
Key Responsibilities include:
Escorting the pupils safely to and from school.
Securing appropriate seatbelts and car seats
Assist students boarding and exiting the vehicle safely. Ensuring that the pupils are received by the responsible adult at each set down point.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, school staff, and the transport driver.
It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete a form of undertaking for this position upon off of employment.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory National Vetting Bureau (Garda Vetting) clearance, occupational health screening, and references.
Commencement date is dependent on the completion of Garda Vetting.
