Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

There are 2 bus routes (at present).
Bus Escorts must be available in the mornings and afternoons daily during school term, in line with our school calendar.
Approximate times are as follows:
Morning: 7.45am -9.30am approximately
Afternoon: 2.45pm- 4.00pm approximately
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Accompanying and ensuring the safety of the students during transit to and from the school.
-Secure seat belts and other safety equipment.
-Assisting the students on and off the transport vehicle safely.
-Cooperating with the driver and communicating effectively with school management and parents.
-Maintaining a calm, supportive and safe environment during the journey.
Requirements:
-Relevant experience working with children, particularly children with special educational needs
-Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
-Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to child safeguarding.
The bus escort must have their own transport to and from the pick-up and drop off point agreed with the bus contractor.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, mandatory Garda Vetting and Occupational Health Screening.
Payment is at the standard hourly rate set by the Department of Education.
