The Board of Management of Zion Parish Primary School, Rathgar, Dublin 6, invites applications for the permanent teaching position of Deputy Principal.
Under Circular 0044/2019, the eligibility criteria for this role are: Fully registered under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council and have 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
The Deputy Principal will assist the Principal in leading a dedicated and collaborative staff, and will work closely with the Board of Management, parents and the wider school community to ensure the continued development and success of the school.
The roles and responsibilities of the post relate to the four domains of teaching and learning as outlined in Circular 0044/2019 and Looking At Our Schools (updated 2024):
Leading teaching and learning
Managing the organisation
Leading school development
Developing leadership capacity
