An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Gortaleam N.S., Dunmore, Co. Galway is seeking to appoint a School Transport Bus Escort to accompany and support pupils travelling on specialised school transport.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safety and care of pupils while travelling to and from school and will work closely with the bus driver, parents/guardians and school staff.
Approximate Hours:
Afternoon route: 1.40 p.m. – 4.40 p.m., Monday to Friday, in accordance with the school calendar.
Hours may be subject to change depending on the school transport route and arrangements made by Bus Éireann.
Applicants should be caring, reliable, punctual and have good communication skills. Experience of working with children, particularly children with additional needs, would be an advantage.
Appointment will be subject to satisfactory Garda Vetting, verification of references and all relevant requirements for School Transport Bus Escorts.
