Presentation Secondary School Ballyphehane invites applications for the position of Bus Escort to accompany a student with special educational needs on school transport.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and ensure the safety of student during morning and afternoon transport
• Assist student boarding and alighting from the vehicle
• Support student with mobility, behavioural, or medical needs as required
• Liaise with the bus driver, school staff, and parents/guardians
• Maintain a calm, supportive environment on the bus
Requirements:
• Garda vetting (arranged by the school)
• Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional needs (desirable)
• Patience, reliability, and good communication skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection procedures
Hours: Part-time – approximately 2 hours per day (morning and afternoon school runs), term-time only
Rate of Pay: In line with Department of Education circular rates
