This advertisement invites applications from suitably qualified teachers to cover a maternity leave position in a senior mainstream class, commencing in October 2026. It is anticipated that additional leave will follow the maternity leave and, while subject to confirmation, the position is likely to continue until the end of the 2026/2027 school year.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible teacher who will work collaboratively as part of our school team. Experience of working in a DEIS setting, and an understanding of the educational and pastoral needs of children, would be highly desirable.
Experience of working with children with additional educational needs and supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviours is also desirable. Our school includes two ASD classes, with opportunities for integration and reverse integration. Experience of supporting these pupils and promoting inclusive practice would therefore be beneficial.
Strong IT and digital skills are desirable, along with experience of using technology effectively to support teaching and learning. The successful candidate should be a strong team player who is flexible, responsive to the needs of the children and the school, and willing to contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
