Additional Information:
Scoil Íde GNS requires a school bus escort for the Dublin north city area. The bus escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons throughout the school year.
The bus escort would have to be at the school (Kilmore West) at approx 8am to meet the driver for the pickup. The bus escort would be back at school by 8.40am. They would have to be at the school again at 12pm, 1.15pm and 2.15pm to drop the children home and will be dropped back to school afterwards.
The escort is responsible for the safety of the child on board the bus/taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including but not limited to assisting the child getting on and off the bus, securing appropriate seat belts etc.
Experience in working with autistic children is desirable.
Candidates need to be professional in their manner and have good communications skills.
Appointment is subject to Garda vetting and reference checks.
The position is for 17.5 hours a week – 3.5 hours per day. The hourly rate for a bus escort is €15.20
