Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
1. There are 2 permanent / part time posts vacant in our school: -
Post 1 - 0.83 (26.56 hrs per week / 5 hrs 18 mins per day - Monday to Friday)
Post 2 - 0.50 (16 hrs per week / 3 hrs 12 mins per day - Monday to Friday)
2. The successful candidates may be required to either work in a special class for pupils with Autism or in a mainstream setting, depending on the needs of the school and pupils.
3. A QQI Level 6 Special Needs Assistant Qualification is desirable and the successful candidate should demonstrate a commitment to undertaking further relevant professional development and training.
4. The SNA will be required to support pupils with a range of needs including sensory, emotional, behavioural and care needs. Experience working in a special class for Autism is desirable.
5. Posts are allocated by the NCSE and subject to review.
6. Appointments will be subject to satisfactory references, current Garda Vetting requirements, Occupational Health screening requirements and completion of Children First online training.
7. Applicants who are deemed to be currently on the SNA Supplementary Panel should furnish a copy of the panel form (PF1) with their application. Please ensure your referees are relevant and contactable.
