An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The following experience and skills are desirable:
- The candidate is fully probated.
- A strong knowledge of the New Primary Curriculum with a range of teaching experience which includes multi-grade settings and team teaching scenarios.
- Knowledge of and experience with Special Educational Needs, the Continuum of Support and a demonstrated ability to provide a differentiated and inclusive curriculum.
- Willingness to lead and organise initiatives and events that foster a sense of community, a strong school culture and develop inter-school networks.
- Strong communication skills which contribute to the development of the school in collaboration with the Principal, staff, pupils, and the whole school community.
- The ability to promote a culture of caring, learning and creativity amongst all stakeholders.
The appointment will be subject to Garda vetting requirements, Occupational health screening, teaching council registration, evidence of qualifications and satisfactory references (minimum of three).
