An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Ballyfacey N.S. invites applications for a fixed-term teaching position in a mainstream classroom for the 2026/27 academic year.
The fixed-term teaching position will cover a vacancy arising from
a Career break (1 year).
The successful candidate will work as a mainstream class teacher in a multi-grade class setting, in close collaboration with the Special Education Teacher (S.E.T.) and the wider school staff in delivering high-quality, inclusive education in line with the Catholic ethos of the school.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
• Experience in a multi-grade class setting is desirable but not essential.
• Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Demonstrate the ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Eagerness to engage in and lead extracurricular activities such as Music, Drama, GAA etc.
Standard Application Form for Teaching Posts required.
Letter of Application to accompany Standard Application form, containing Referees (name, role, contact number) along with evidence of Registration with the Teaching Council and Compliance with current Vetting requirements.
Closing date is 12:00pm Tuesday 18th August.
This appointment is subject to the sanction and approval of the Department of Education & Skills.
