Additional Information:
The Board of Management wishes to invite expressions of interest in a permanent vacancy,
with initial duties in any Special Class setting from teachers listed on the Main Panel for the
Diocese of Killaloe. An expression of interest should be
forwarded to the Chairperson of the Board of Management by the 4th of August, 2026, being 5
calendar days from the date of this advertisement.

Additional Information:
St. Anne's Special School, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary, is a vibrant and student-centred special
school catering for students aged 4–18 years with Moderate, Severe and Profound General
Learning Disabilities, Autism and complex additional needs.
Applications are invited for a Permanent Teaching Post for the 2026/2027 school year. This post
is subject to the appropriate panel procedures.
The initial duties of this post may be in any class setting within the school, including classes
supporting students with Autism, Moderate Learning Disabilities, Severe to Profound Learning
Disabilities and complex needs. Duties are subject to change in accordance with the needs of the
school.
We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible and committed teacher who:
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusive education.
• Has experience or a willingness to work with students with Autism and complex learning needs.
• Has excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates creativity, adaptability and initiative.
• Is committed to working as part of a multidisciplinary and whole-school team approach.
• Has a strong commitment to student wellbeing, communication and positive behaviour support.
Experience or knowledge in any of the following areas would be desirable:
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
• Lámh
• Positive Behaviour Support
• Total Communication Approaches
• Special Education
Experience in special education is desirable; however, applications are welcome from all suitably
qualified and registered teachers who demonstrate a willingness to learn and a commitment to
supporting students with additional needs.
Applicants must hold a recognised qualification to teach in a Special School setting and be
registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
