An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management of St Columba's NS, Inishturk Island wishes to invite applications for a permanent post of Deputy Principal.

Initial duties will be allocated to a mainstream classroom. Duties included in this advertisement may be subject to change.

This is a unique opportunity to fill the role of Deputy Principal on the beautiful island of Inishturk. You could have the pleasure of living and working on a small remote island and educating a small and very bright group of children.
St. Columba's National School has been the beneficiary of the addition of a brand new school building with excellent connectivity, A0 BER energy ratings and possibly the best views from any school in the country.
The role is quite dynamic and offers the potential for further career development.
