An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

St. Laserian's School is a special school; we educate students aged 4-18 with assessed Mild, Moderate, and Severe to Profound I.D. Many students have complex needs.
We are interested in teachers who are passionate, caring and professional, and who will join our established team in making a difference in our learner's educational journey, becoming part of our school community.
Experience of working with children/young adults with an Intellectual Disability and with Autism is an advantage, as is experience in using LÁMH and training, knowledge, and experience of managing behaviours that challenge.
We deliver the Primary Curriculum Framework, Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle programmes, providing rich, engaging and highly individualised learning experiences that recognise and nurture every student’s strength, interests and potential.
The class teacher positions will require a suitably qualified individual who is willing to work in classrooms where students have complex special educational needs.
Applicants must be registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
Teachers who are successful in their application should be available for 2 days induction and training 25th and 26th August 2026.
This advertisement will also recruit for a long-term leave, and parents leave teaching post effective from August 25th, 2026.
