The Position
Science and Mathematics Teacher
● 11-hour Fixed-Term Teaching Contract
● Commencing: August 2026
● Duration: School Year 2026/2027

The Successful Candidate Will:
● Be registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
● Hold qualifications recognised by the Department of Education to teach Science and Mathematics at post-primary level.
● Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and high-quality teaching practice in Science and Mathematics.
● Use engaging, inclusive and differentiated approaches to support students of varying abilities while maintaining high expectations for all.
● Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to subject planning and development.
● Contribute positively to the pastoral, wellbeing and co-curricular life of the school.
● Demonstrate a commitment to the ethos and values of Scoil Mhuire College.

Appointment is Subject to:
● Current Teaching Council Registration.
● Satisfactory Garda Vetting.
● Compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and current Child Protection procedures.
● The appointment will be made and remunerated directly by Scoil Mhuire College and is not a Department of Education-paid teaching post.
