An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Please note: This post has to be readvertised due to procedural error and we invite existing applicants to re-apply and include the Certificate to Teach Religion with their application.

The successful applicants will work as a Support Teacher and should be familiar with the Continuum of Support which underpins the school's approach to Special Education. The successful applicant will work closely with class teachers and the broader Support Teacher and SNA team.
Scoil Íde utilises a Restorative Practice approach to behaviour management and successful applicants will be expected to be familiar with this approach.
Candidates will also be expected to be familiar with the NCSE's Relate Framework and the Statements of Practice for Teaching and Learning contained within Looking At Our Schools 2022.
A minimum of three referees required.
Candidates will be invited to interview by email.
Position will be offered to the successful candidate subject to Garda vetting and satisfactory references.
It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position upon offer of employment.
