An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This position is for a special class teacher for our second special class for Autism.
Knockainey N.S. seeks applications from committed individuals who display a keen understanding of teaching, who are team players who are willing to contribute to the overall development of the school.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
-Probation advantageous
-Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school
-Knowledge and experience of working with pupils with ASD would be beneficial to the role as would a knowledge of Assistive Technology, Assessment and writing SMART targets for SSPs and IEPs.
- Additional extracurricular skills are highly desirable, particularly in the areas of I.T. and STEM.
