An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This advertisement invites applications from interested candidates for the following positions in The Monastery School for the 2026/2027 academic school year:
1. Mainstream Class Teacher
2. Special Education Teacher
3. Part Time Special Education Teacher
This round of interviews will also be used to appoint an additional Specific Purpose Contract (Part time language support hours)
Class placement is subject to change at the determination of the principal.
The Monastery School is seeking to appoint a team player with initiative who is willing to contribute to the overall development of the school.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
- Probation
- Experience of teaching in a similar sized DEIS school
- A demonstration of commitment to CPD
- Teaching children with a range of additional needs
- Teaching children with English as an Additional Language
- Experience with team – teaching and in-class support
- Experience with initiatives such as Nurture, Maths Recovery..etc
Applications should be clearly marked 'Teacher Application'.
Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications. A Recognised Certificate to teach Religious Education must be included with your application.
Appointment will be subject to Teaching Council Registration, current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
