Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for TEACHING POST which may arise for the 2026/2027 school year as follows:-
Ref. No. 019221 I.C.T. X1 at Mid West School for the Deaf, Limerick -Fixed Term Pro Rata Contract (3 hours per week). Irish Sign Language is desirable for this post but is not essential.
(a) Applicants for advertised posts must apply through LCETB website www.lcetb.ie/recruitment. Applications will only be accepted through the on-line recruitment system.
(b) Please note that it is the responsibility of all applicants to ensure that completed application forms are submitted on-line to Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board by 12 noon on Tuesday, 14th July 2026.
(c) Sanction, Conditions of Service and Appointment, Qualifications, Salary Scale, are in accordance with the regulations of the Department of Education and Youth.
(d) Criteria of Assessment: • Professional Qualifications • Interpersonal communication skills • Capacity to contribute to the overall development of a learning organisation. • Relevant Experience
(e) Panels may also be formed from these competitions from which appointments may be made to fill vacancies equal to or of shorter duration than advertised.
(f) Any offer of employment will be conditional on the teacher being registered in accordance with Section 30 of the Teaching Council Act 2001.
(g) All vacancies are subject to the Directors of Redeployment agreeing to the posts being filled.
(h) Shortlisting may apply. Candidates may be shortlisted on the basis of information supplied on their application form.
(i) Garda vetting will apply
(j) Canvassing will disqualify.
(k) Late applications will not be considered.
