An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. John the Baptist BNS is seeking professionals who are team players and willing to contribute to the overall development of a busy school.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
- Experience of teaching children with ASD in a primary special education or special class setting
- DEIS experience
- Probation
- Interests in extra curricular activities, including music, Chess, sports
- Knowledge and experience of autism, ADHD, PDA, anxiety, masking and behaviours of concern would be beneficial.
- Experience of working in a school that underwent Trauma Informed Training.
- Willingness to engage in CPD throughout the year.

In order to be eligible for appointment candidates for this position must have a certificate to teach R.E.
Successful candidates will be required to provide a valid Statutory Declaration and complete a Form of Undertaking upon receiving an offer of employment.
Appointments will be subject to but not limited to; Satisfactory references, teaching council registration, Garda vetting, occupational health screening.
