Additional Information:
Goatstown Educate Together National School opened in 2019 and is a developing Educate Together school. We are committed to equality, inclusion and child-centred education.

We are a restorative practices and trauma-informed school, with a strong focus on nurture, connection and pupil wellbeing. Relationships are central to how we support pupils, families and one another as a staff team.

For the 2026/2027 school year, we will have mainstream classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class, along with one autism class. We are currently based on the Notre Dame Campus in Churchtown and will move in time to a purpose-built school on Goatstown Road, beside Goatstown Educate Together Secondary School.

We are seeking applications for a fixed-term Special Education Teaching post for the 2026/2027 school year. The post will commence on Wednesday, 26th August 2026 and will be for two full school days per week.

We are seeking someone who is available to work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Additional hours may become available during the school year, subject to Department sanction. This may include a pattern of two days one week and three days every second week.

School begins for pupils at 8:20am and finishes at 2:00pm. Staf check in meetings take place at 8:00am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and the successful candidate will be expected to attend these meetings on their working days.

The successful candidate will be a member of staff and will be expected to complete the appropriate pro-rata Croke Park hours. They will also be expected to attend relevant staff meetings, planning meetings, in/out staff meetings, and other whole-school meetings or training as required including training days for the new primary curriculum.

Parking is available on campus but is limited.
