An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Special Needs Assistant will work as part of a collaborative team to support pupils with additional care needs in accessing and participating fully in school life. The successful candidate will assist pupils with their care, safety, wellbeing, communication, social development and educational participation in accordance with their identified needs and under the direction of the class teacher and school leadership.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking prior to employment.

There are two additional Substitute positions for the full year.
