An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This post is for the role of Teaching Principal in St. Laurence’s N.S., a co-educational school, under the patronage of the Church of Ireland Archbishop of Dublin and Glendalough, invites applications for the position of Teaching Principal, commencing on 26th August 2026. Interviews will take place on 23rd July 2026.
We currently have 28 pupils, 2 Class Teachers, 1 part time SET and 1 SNA. Cluster arrangements are in place to provide cover for one principal release day per week.
The roles and responsibilities of the post relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management as outlined in Circular 0044/2019.

Applicants must be fully registered (Route 1) with the Teaching Council and have at least five years teaching experience in a recognised Primary School in Ireland. It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position upon offer of employment.
