Assistant Educator – Immediate Start
Description:
Friends of Waldorf-Steiner Education Galway is seeking a warm, enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Educator to join our afterschool team, with an immediate start available.
The successful candidate will work as part of our Summer Camps programme during July and August, with the opportunity to continue in our Afterschool Service during the school term.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and interested in supporting a nurturing, creative and child-centred environment inspired by Waldorf-Steiner education.
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum QQI/FETAC Level 5 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience working with school-aged children
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A sincere and genuine love of working with children
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
An interest in creative, child-centred approaches to education and care
The following would be an advantage:
Familiarity with, or an interest in learning about, Waldorf-Steiner education
Skills or experience in areas such as art, music, crafts, storytelling, yoga, outdoor education, or other creative disciplines
Current First Aid certification
Additional requirements:
Garda Vetting will be required for the successful applicant
Salary:
Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
