The Guidance Counsellor at St Conleth's College plays a central role in supporting students’ academic, personal, and career development within a caring and student-centred environment. The role involves delivering a comprehensive guidance programme, including one-to-one counselling, wellbeing support, and the facilitation of informed subject and career choices. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with school leadership, form teachers, subject teachers and parents to promote student wellbeing and resilience.
Key responsibilities include coordinating career education initiatives and have a knowledge of the Reach+ Programme. The candidate will also manage relevant assessments and applications (including CAT4, DARE, CAO, and international pathways) and maintain up-to-date knowledge of further and higher education opportunities. A commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and the holistic development of each student is essential.
