An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The position may be in a Mainstream or Special Class (Autism) setting. Applicants should demonstrate experience supporting children with complex needs. Experience and knowledge in working with children with Autism, particularly within a special class environment, would be advantageous.
They will work closely with the class teachers and school team to support pupils’ learning, communication, social development, independence, and regulation, including supporting care needs. A strong understanding of inclusive practice, teamwork, and supporting positive behaviour is required.
