Evening Supervisor
UBST is recruiting for Supervisors for the Boarding School which may become available in the 2026/27 Academic Year. UBST is a five-day all girls boarding school. The Supervisor will be in house for extracurricular and study supervision and overnight supervision.
This is an important role in the Boarding School and entails:
Facilitating participation in extracurricular activities
Ensuring effective organisation and focus during study
Ensuring the safety of students during the night
Overseeing bedtime routines, tidiness and lock-up procedures
Ensure that order and routine are maintained within the hours of service – thereby guaranteeing a restful environment for students
Reporting any incidents and being available throughout the hours of service to attend to student’s needs and referring any issues to the Boarding Manager if necessary
Maintain a firm but fair attitude that is consistent with the policies, practices and ethos of the Boarding School
Total discretion and professional conduct are naturally expected
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an engaging nature, and exhibit kindness in providing a caring and nurturing environment. Previous experience in education and/or residential boarding is preferential but not essential. Teachers/ Student Teachers/ SNAs are encouraged to apply.
This is a part-time vacancy. Appointments will be subject to satisfactory Garda vetting.
