An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Cholmcille Junior invites applications from highly dedicated candidates for the position of fixed-term, part-time Special Needs Assistant (0.83 post). The position will run from Sept 26 until June 27

Candidates will be required to work the hours over a 5 day week, Junior Infant Day.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience in a classroom/school environment. In particular candidates should have significant experience working with pupils with Autism, PDA and communication difficulties in a disadvantaged educational setting.

Demonstrated experience in managing behaviours of concern.

Strong understanding and application of positive behaviour support strategies

Knowledge of Nurture and disadvantage is desirable.

Trauma Informed training is benifical.

Candidates must be willing to undertake CPD courses which relate to the needs of the children & the school.
