Additional Information:
Loughfouder National School is a vibrant, rural co-educational primary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Kerry. Currently there are 20 pupils on roll. The present staff comprises of a teaching principal, a teaching deputy principal, 1 shared SET and 1 part-time SNA.
The successful candidate will be a leader who is committed to the ethos of Catholic education and will lead the school in partnership with staff, parents and the wider community. The roles and responsibilities of this post relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management, as specified in circular 0044/2019 Chapter 4.

4. Developing Leadership Capacity
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:
• A clear understanding of and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic primary school
• A clear and ambitious vision for high-quality teaching and learning
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing people
• Knowledge and capacity to successfully lead and administer the school
• An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and a range of teaching experience including multi-class settings
• A willingness to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships with all members of the school community
• A willingness and ability to work in partnership with external agencies
• Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of school- based initiatives especially in the area of art, music, drama and sport.
• An excellent working knowledge of special education needs and of inclusion and diversity in education
• A commitment to and evidence of continuing professional development especially in the area of school leadership
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and to foster leadership in others
• Previous experience in policy formulation and implementation
• Excellent communication skills
