An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
We are a special school setting catering for children with a moderate intellectual disability currently age 7 to 18. In addition, our pupils/students may also have autism and/or Down Syndrome and additional needs. We have 5 classes in total with one Exceptional Teacher post. We have 20 SNAs in total. This is a Fixed-Term position for the 2026-2027 school year.
Experience working in a special school setting is crucial. Knowledge and experience of TEACCH and LAMH would be beneficial to this position. It is vital that you are expected to work under the direction of a class teacher. We value you being a team player. This ensures the care and dignity of the children in the school is a key focus and priority.
Any additional training for behaviours of concern is key to supporting the pupils/students in their class setting.
Successful candidates will be notified and called for interview on June 10th from 3pm.
