An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

We are a special school setting catering for children with a moderate intellectual disability currently age 7 to 18. In addition, our pupils/students may also have autism and/or Down Syndrome and additional needs. We have 5 classes in total with one Exceptional Teacher post. We have 2o SNAs in total. This is a Fixed-Term position for the 2026-2027 school year.

A class called Primary 2, five pupils age 8-11 . The pupils in Primary 2 are primarily nonverbal and use PECS as their primary communication system or have AAC devices. Knowledge and experience of TEAACH and LAMH would be beneficial to this position. The class is supported by a team of highly skilled SNAs. Experience working in a special school setting is essential.

Any additional training for behaviours of concern is key to supporting the students in their class setting.

Successful candidates will be notified and called for interview on June 10th from 3pm.
