Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications as set out by the Department of Education guidelines.
Desirable additional qualifications include training in First Aid and Manual Handling.
Experience working with pupils with a range of additional needs is highly desirable, including Autism, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), ADHD, Down Syndrome, trauma, and multiple disabilities. Experience supporting pupils who require intimate care, including the use of a hoist, would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, a willingness to engage in further training, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Appointment to this position is subject to satisfactory references, current Garda Vetting, satisfactory pre-employment medical screening through the Occupational Health Service (OHS), and approval by the school Patron.
