An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The post is fixed term part time to cover a job share.

Candidates are required to have minimum qualifications as per Department of Education guidelines.
Candidates must be willing to work under the direction of the Class Teacher as well as the Principal and be willing to avail of all relevant training.
Candidates must be able to work on his or her own initiative and display a strong work ethic. In addition, the candidates should have a flexible approach and demonstrate willingness to work as part of a team.
Willingness to get involved in school initiatives and share specific knowledge and expertise in such areas would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be expected to always respect confidentiality.
Candidates must have evidence of continued professional development.
Candidates who have experience working with children with A.S.D, O.T, E.B.D, diabetes and medical care needs is advantageous.
Experience in PECS, Lamh, FEDS, AAC, visual supports are all desirable.
The initial duties of the post may change according to the care needs of the pupils.
Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work both on their own initiative and in a team capacity.
