The Board of Management of St Felim's Primary School under the Patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Kilmore invites applications for the position of Administrative Principal Teacher commencing on Tuesday 1st September .
St Felim's Co-Educational Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive Primary School serving the Village of Ballinagh and the Parish of Kilmore.
The Principal will lead a dedicated and collaborative Staff and will work closely with the Board of Management, Parents and wider School Community to ensure continued development and success of the School.
The Leadership and Management Team currently consists of the Principal, Deputy Principal and 3 Assistant Principal 2 post holders working together. The School also has two special classes for autistic pupils.
The roles and responsibilities of the post relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management as outlined in the DES Circular0044/2019.
1. Leading teaching and learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
Successful Candidate must be fully registered (Route 1) with The Teaching Council and have at least 5 years teaching experience in a recognised Primary School in Ireland
.
They must also demonstrate :
A clear and ambitious vision for high quality teaching and learning
A strong commitment to inclusive and child centred education .
Proven Leadership and Management experience within a school setting.
Experience in school self evaluation and policy development.
Excellent communication interpersonal and organisational skills.
A commitment to the Catholic Ethos.
