Harold’s Cross Educate Together Secondary School (HCETSS) opened in August 2020 in temporary accommodation on the site of the former Greyhound Racing Stadium, Harold’s Cross.
The construction of our permanent school building, which will accommodate 1000 students, is almost complete and we will move into our brand new school building in May 2026.
We are looking for a Special Needs Assistant who will support the learning of students in our school with additional needs.
Essential:
1. A QQI level 3 major qualification on the national framework of qualifications or a minimum of three grade Ds in the Junior Cert or equivalent.
Duties will be in line with the most recent circular available online at

Applicants should also demonstrate a professional, flexible, self-motivated and caring approach to the role and display initiative in the area of Special Needs Support. They must be capable of working with and supporting a range of special educational needs - emotional, behavioural, physical, medical and personal care needs.
The successful candidate must also be a team player who displays the HCETSS team attributes of humility, commitment and common sense and who is willing to collaborate closely with colleagues in creating an inclusive learning environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be required. Interviews will be held shortly after the closing date and will be held in person.
