We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and flexible Special Needs Assistant (full time hours) who will be responsive to the needs of the children in our school and will contribute positively to the Ballinagore N.S. team.
Candidates will need to be flexible and able to work on their own initiative. The position will be in mainstream classes. Experience in diversity of SEN including ASD and supporting medical needs such as diabetes and epilepsy and willingness to train in supporting medical needs is preferred.
Candidates must have a strong work ethic, respect the Catholic ethos of the school, work well as part of a team and be willing to avail of relevant training as continuous engagement with CPD is expected from all of our staff including new appointments.
Relevant QQI/FETAC qualifications are essential.
SNAs will be deployed to support classes and pupils’ needs as determined by school leadership.
Appointments are subject to satisfactory references, current Garda Vetting requirements, satisfactory pre-employment medical screening via the OHS (Medmark) and Patron approval.
