An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Stepping Stones Special School caters for pupils with a diagnosis of Autism and Complex Needs from 4-18 years of age. The successful candidate should have some experience in a Special School setting preferably with students with Autism and a solid understanding of ASD and methodologies used in school settings e.g TEACCH,ABA, social stories etc. In addition the successful candidate must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team. It would be desirable that the successful candidate has completed an appropriate Special Needs Assistant course . Duties, qualifications and salary as outlined on the Dept. of Education's website. Further duties will also be assigned by class Teacher and Principal. Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary Panel with supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of completed Panel Form PF1 with their application.
