School and Ethos
Brannoxtown CNS is a developing school. Following divestment, it opened under patronage of the Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB) in September 2018. It is one of three CNSs in KWETB and among 30 nationwide. We chose four values for our school crest: Respect, Teamwork, Effort and Ambition.
Staff and Enrolment
Enrolment for 2025/2026 is 88 children. The post advertised is for a Mainstream Class Teacher. The successful candidate will teach in a multigrade setting (i.e. 2 classes in one classroom/group). This is a fixed-term post for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year.
Vision and Commitment
We invite enthusiastic teachers to help develop our school, by leading initiatives with children, based on your own interests and skills. If you are resourceful, a good team member/leader, flexible when circumstances change, and interested in a happy, collaborative work environment, we encourage you to apply. Some achievements/awards to-date include Primary Science (BTYSTE), Green Flag, Blue Star and Creative Schools. Wellbeing is at the heart of all we do at Brannoxtown CNS. The school’s Positive Behaviour Policy takes the place of a Code of Behaviour and supports all children to be their very best self.
Development and Communication
Interested applicants should be familiar with the Community National School (CNS) model: www.cns.ie and the development of Brannoxtown CNS to-date: www.brannoxtowncns.ie.
