Linn Dara Schools invite applications from dynamic, dedicated, and compassionate educators for the role of Special Class Teacher in our unique and rewarding school community.
**Position: Full-Time (25 hours / 5 days) Permanent Special Class Teacher**
We’re seeking a teacher with Teaching Council registration and qualifications within Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and another relevant curricular subject for this new post for 2025/26 allocated to the school by the Department of Education and Youth (DEY).

Linn Dara Schools are multi-denominational specialist hospital schools under the patronage of the Health Service Executive (HSE). We provide high-quality education that supports recovery and wellbeing for pupils admitted to Linn Dara CAMHS Approved Centre and outpatients of Linn Dara CAMHS Community and other South Dublin teams.
*Our schools* - both inpatient and outpatient - are based within the Cherry Orchard Hospital Campus, offering a vibrant and supportive multidisciplinary environment where education and care come together to help young people re-engage, rebuild, and thrive.
*About the Role*
As a Special Class Teacher at Linn Dara, you’ll:
• Deliver creative, student-centred learning across a range of subjects and levels (Junior and Senior Cycle).
• Collaborate closely with a team of educators and healthcare professionals to support pupils’ educational and emotional development.
• Bring energy, empathy, and flexibility to a role that’s as rewarding as it is impactful.
*Desirable (but not essential):*
• Experience or qualifications in special education or a special school setting.
• A willingness to teach across diverse subjects and ability levels.
• A reflective and collaborative teaching approach, with a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
*Employment Details*
• Teachers are employed as Special Class Teachers, with the same pay, holidays, and conditions as Primary Teachers.
• The position is Full Time (25 hours / 5 days per week) and Permanent.
