An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

We have 1 fixed term position which will be in place until June 2026.

We are looking a teacher who is inclusive, flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and can work on their own initiative whilst making a positive contribution to the school team.

Experience working with autistic children in a special school setting will be a distinct advantage. The successful applicant should demonstrate experience in supporting autistic pupils, demonstrate the ability to work within and lead a class team, have experience working from behavioural support plans and managing behaviours of concern.

We are looking for a special class teacher who has a willingness to learn and an interest in educating pupils with a diagnosis of Autism and complex special needs.

The successful candidate must be willing to undertake in-school training which relates to the needs of pupils and the school which will be provided on site.

Appointment will be subject to garda vetting, occupational health checks and reference checks.
