Applicants for the post of Deputy Principal Teacher are invited by open competition
• The roles and responsibilities are based on the leadership and management needs and priorities of the school, as identified by the Board of Management. These roles are subject to regular review and change, as outlined in Primary Circular 0044/2019.
• The selection of the successful candidate shall be based on the following competencies, aligned to:
”Looking at our School 2022 – A Quality Framework for Primary Schools
i. Leading Learning and Teaching
ii. Managing the Organisation
iii. Leading School Development
iv. Developing Leadership Capacity
• Applicants must have 5 years recognised teaching service 2 of which must be in a recognised primary school within the republic of Ireland
3 copies of the documents requested must be included with the application, and applications must be received by 3pm on the 15th September 2025.
