An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Kilcredan NS is looking for one bus escort post for 3 children with Autism and mobility issues.
The bus will pick up the escort from school and makes the journey to collect the children.
The children are brought home after school and the bus escort is brought back to the start off point (i.e.school)
The route is currently a 20 hour a week contract. Candidates will need to be available fat 8 am in the morning and at 3pm in the afternoon.
The current hourly rate, set by the Department of Education, is €15.50 per hour. (+ 8% Holiday Pay)
Duties will include escorting the child to and from school, assisting the child to board and alight safely from the school transport, ensuring that the child is seated with appropriate straps and ensuring that the pupil is received by a nominated responsible person at the set down point.
All Bus Escorts will have to be Garda vetted by the school.
